Visit from EPA Administrator McCarthy and Mayor Gray

EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy and DC Mayor Vincent Gray visited us to recognize Children’s Health Month and highlight actions we can all take to educate and protect children from environmental health risks. Our 2nd graders shared with them their recent butterfly study.

Students, teachers, parents, and staff from the Inspired Teaching Demonstration Public Charter School were proud to march in the 39th Annual Capital Pride Parade.


3rd and 4th graders attend the “White House Healthy Kids & Safe Sports Concussion Summit”

On May 29, 3rd and 4th grade students from the Inspired Teaching Demonstration School gathered at the South Lawn of the White House for the “White House Healthy Kids & Safe Sports Concussion Summit.” After the event was cancelled due to rain, students were invited into the East Garden Room of the White House to meet the President.


Inspired Teaching School named Exemplar School by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills

We are proud to announce that the Inspired Teaching Demonstration School has been named an Exemplar School by the Partnership for 21st Century Schools. The 21st Century Learning Exemplar Program highlights best practices in schools and districts across the country that are preparing students for college, career and citizenship by embedding critical 21st century competencies into the learning environment.
