Paraprofessional, Special Education
I was born in Washington, D.C. but I was raised in Maryland and I come from a Trinidadian family. I graduated from Morgan State University with my Bachelor’s of Social Work degree (BSW). During my junior year of undergrad, I began interning in the Baltimore school system, working with children who have intellectual disabilities; there was never a dull moment and I loved it! I have been in the school system since then and my devotion to helping children with intellectual disabilities reach their full potential has become very personal to me. I intend to advocate for students as they make progress towards their goals, all the while assisting them with navigating barriers they may face.
